Spring Semester Schedules

Attention Parents and Students:

Here are the tentative dates for the upcoming Spring Semester Driver's Education Schedule. Please note that dates are subject to change and that classes may be cancelled or rescheduled due to lack of participation. Classes that are filled and closed to registration will be shown with a line through them!

~~January 2012: 24,25,26,27,30,31 and February 1,2,6,8~~

February 2012: 13,14,15,16,22,23,24,27,28,29

March 2012: 19,20,21,22,23,26,27,28,29

April 2012: 16,17,18,19,20,23,24,25,26,30

May 2012: 14,15,16,17,18,21,22,23,24,25

*All classes will meet afterschool starting at 2:30.

*Room designation will be determined on a class by class basis.

*Notification letters will be sent to student approximately one week prior to the beginning of class.

*Fees can be paid prior to the start of class or on the first day of instruction.

*Payments should be made on-line with a credit card or can be paid to the instructor in either cash or money order made payable to Jordan Driving School.

*No Personal Checks will be accepted!

New Procedures for Registration and Fee Payment

HOW TO PAY THE FEE AND REGISTER FOR A CLASS

Obtain a registration form from the Front Office at GMHS or download from the following link: http://www.jordandriving.com/2011_2012registrationform.pdf

Available class schedules can be found by clicking the following link http://www.jordandriving.com/schedules.html

Online Payment of the $45 fee - preferred method - You may access the online payment system at http://osp.osmsinc.com/WakeNC/Default.aspx and select DRIVER EDUCATION. If you prefer not to use a personal credit card, you can purchase a Visa or Master Card pre-paid gift card at many retail outlets. Be sure that it is loaded with a minimum accessable amount of $45. From the Driver Education payment page you will select the class location for which you wish to register. This may be different from where you attend school. For example, you may attend school at Wake Christian School but you want to take an after school class at Garner Magnet High School; you will select GARNER MAGNET HIGH SCHOOL and follow the directions to pay your $45 fee. The program will automatically assign your payment to the appropriate location. Be sure to write down your confirmation number to include on your registration form. We also suggest that you print out the confirmation page for your records. You will be asked for an email address and you will receive a payment confirmation by email.

Once your fee is paid online, you will submit the completed registration form to the Lead Teacher for Driver Education at your high school. Remember to include the confirmation number.

Paying the $45 fee at Jordan Driving School or mailing $45 fee to Jordan Driving School - You may also pay by money order or cashier's check at the Jordan Driving School office (3751 Junction Boulevard, Raleigh, NC 27603). You may come in M-F 9 to 4:30 pm; no personal checks please. Please allow enough time to complete a registration form before leaving the office - 15 to 20 minutes. If you wish to mail in your payment, please include a completed registration form with your payment and mail it to the above address. We will not accept personal checks or cash by mail. If you elect to pay through the office, allow 2 to 4 weeks for processing.

When you have paid your fee to the JDS office, we will send your registration form to the appropriate lead teacher. The lead teacher, or contact person for a particular class, willnotify you of the assignment to class. Due to the high number of classlocations and getting payment notification to lead teachers, please allow extra time for this process. Your payment and paperwork should be at our office 4 weeks before the cut-off date for a particular class to be considered for placemnt into thatclass.

We ask that you indicate preference of classdates on the registration form, however, this does not guarentee that you will be placed into your first choice class. Even though we must now obtain the $45 fee, we will continue to attempt to assign the older students to class first.

PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT WCPSS HIGH SCHOOL LOCATIONS ARE NOT PREPARED TO COLLECT FEES and under no circumstances should you contact the school, principal or bookkeeper attempting to pay a driver education fee. In WCPSS, driver education services are contracted by Jordan Driving School, and we will be responsible for collecting the fees. Payment should be directly to JDS.

Attention Ladies: Congratulations on being selected to the 2010-11 Varsity tennis program. Your hard work has payed off and I look forward to working with you this season. For the girls who did not make it, please keep your heads up and keep working hard to develop the skills we worked on during tryouts. Don't let this discourage you from continuing to persue tennis. Work hard this year and come back ready to get that spot on next year's team. I appreciate all that you ladies did over the last two weeks and commend you for your hard work and tenacity. I also want you to know that no one feels worse than I do about having to make decisions concerning team rosters. I made my decision based on the time I worked with you and did not hold missing some practices or scrimmages against anyone. PROCEDURES FOR DRIVER ELIGIBILITY CERTIFICATE COMPLETIONS AND DMV PROTOCOL

Students and Parents (VERY IMPORTANT)
After completing both the classroom and driving phases of driver education, students need to take their driving education certificate to Ms. Benitez, in the Front Office, to obtain a Driver Eligibility Certificate. Parents must accompany each student.
Parents, Acting Parents, or Guardians are required to print their name, sign their name, and date the upper portion of the Eligibility Certificate and return to Ms. Benitez. Ms. Benitez will check for grade eligibility and sign off.
Take the following items with you when going to validate your Eligibility Certificate:
Parent signed Driving Eligibility Certificate 2
Driver Education Certificate
Copy of Birth Certificate
Copy of the previous semester’s report card
Students must pass 3 of 4 courses at Garner Magnet High School to obtain validation seal on the Eligibility Certificate. If you fail two or more courses at Garner Magnet High School or you decide to drop out of school before your 18th birthday, you will not get your Driver Eligibility Certificate validated and you will lose your driving privileges if you already have them.
Certificates are valid for 30 days only. Please submit certificates to DMV before the 30-day deadline. Students will only be allowed to pick up one eligibility form per semester and one in the summer.
Students may obtain Driver Eligibility Certificates during school on Tuesday and Thursday. Information should be turned in to Ms. Benitez by 8:00 a.m. and picked up after school. Students may pick up eligibility forms during the summer between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday)
Please contact Ms. Benitez in the Front Office for additional information on Driver Eligibility Certificate if needed.
